appearance.

With short, light brown hair that is most of the time unorganized and flyaway, Cass Vablatsky has a natural sneer, on her lips from years of haughty behavior with almost everyone she knows. Family, friends, random other students. It doesn't matter, Cass is almost all-around sarcastic. She has light brown eyes, rounded, piercing and knowing.

At her full height, Cass is around five-feet-eight and one half inches, though with every pair of shoes she owns there is at least one inch of extra height. She does not wear heels often, more comfortable in regular shoes that give her height. She doesn't like to admit that she can't walk too well in heels. She dresses nicely, her family renown for being high up in the pureblooded social caste, and therefore must look the part. She does not wear make-up all that often, and when she does it's light and not much. Her clothes are fine, silks, Egyptian cotton. Colors don't really matter to her, as long as it's comfortable. Cass refuses to wear slutty clothing.

history.

Cassandra Liiane Vablatsky was born 7 May, 1961, in London to Pureblooded parents, the middle child of three girls. Her older sister, Vanessa, is three years older, and her little sister, Helena, is four years younger. She gets along well enough with her sisters, but Cass herself is relatively difficult to get along with, and often she gets into arguments with her younger sister. Sometimes she simply can't understand, or doesn't want to, and therefore ignores her sister's words. Cass lives with both her parents, her father owning a Mystics shop somewhere in London. Her family lives on the outskirts and her father commutes. Her mother stays at home and is the boss there, having had a job at one point with her husband but after having Cassandra, deciding to remain as a stay-at-home mom.

Her father loves all things involving the Inner Eye, Astrology, and Seeing the future. He runs a popular business with many affiliates, producing supplies and manufacturing crystal balls and even textbooks for other businesses all while having his own eclectic shop as well. Because of his ambition and skills with persuasion, he is a giant in his field. Cass has always been interested in what he does, and when she was younger, she used to go to work with him. He would teach her everything he knew about Divination and she would listen intently. It is Cass's belief that Divination is a real subject of substance, simply because how passionate her father was.

When Cass was eleven years old, she got her letter to attend Hogwarts, and she was naturally very excited, having heard all about school from her older sister. Once she arrived, she was nervous, but was sorted into Slytherin, just like her father was. Her mother was a Ravenclaw and so was her older sister. Her younger sister was sorted into Ravenclaw four years later. Cass was proud of being sorted, and because of that her haughty tendencies increased.

In her third year, Cass was excited to be taking Divination, but was severely let down by the curriculum. It was nothing like what her father had taught her! Cass turned into a snob during the class, often talking back to the professor without a second thought. She's gotten a reputation for being a smart-ass, vicious, and cruel, but she does not mind. She recently took her OWL exams, and is waiting to see how well or awful she did. She is anxious about her sixth year at school.

personality.

Cass is intelligent, though she works for her relatively good grades, studying a lot and trying her hardest not to freak out or break down during a particularly difficult exam. She excels in Divination and Charms, mediocre at Transfiguration and Herbology, and horrible at Potions. No matter how hard she tries, Cass is not mathematically minded, and cannot measure things correctly or follow the instructions. Similarly, Cass cannot cook, and her mother almost considers her a failure in that right.

She is no good at being very girly. Cass is competitive and unladylike, playing as a Chaser on the Slytherin Quidditch Team and very proud of her Silver Arrow broom. She gets very involved in Quidditch, always eager to give her opinion among her housemates. Cass is relatively athletic, and enjoys running about and practicing. She does not really dress up in skirts and wear makeup, and she always prefers her hair to be short and choppy, even though her mother prefers her to look like her sisters, long, sleek hair, skirts and lots of eyeliner and lipstick. However, Cass doesn't care. She is who she is.

Not really wanting to get herself in too deep, Cass is wary of relationships. She does not trust boys, and happens to think that they are completely gross. Though she won't admit it, she kissed a boy once, and it left something to be desired. She hadn't since, and finds the rest of the male population of the school to be unsightly. Then again, most of the time Cass thinks almost everyone is gross. She doesn't really like talking to people other than Slytherins all that much, but is well liked by the rest of them. Cass is especially disgusted by mudbloods and muggles. To her it's just unnatural, and she almost feels SORRY for muggles, not having their ability, handicapped and not even knowing.. And mudbloods! Almost as bad, pretending to be as good as her.

Feeling slightly left out in everything she does, Cass is always striving to be noticed for something. Maybe it's because she has Middle Child Syndrome, and maybe it's because she thinks she deserves to be recognized for being so different. For being BETTER. Cass has a few friends, and is usually very friendly with other Slytherins, but doesn't really talk to other students in other houses. Gryffindors are pointless and not worth speaking to, And Ravenclaws are all right, though Cass can't really stand how superior they think they are. She has no opinion of Hufflepuffs, but they're probably really worthless, too.
